Synopsis

The series is permeated by the leitmotif of “besa” the custom of a firm promise that must be kept at the cost of life, the labyrinth of unpredictable circumstances crosses the paths of Uroš, an ordinary man and Dardan, the regional head of the mafia. The plot of the series is set in Serbia, Montenegro and Albania and follows the story of a seemingly ordinary man, whose whole life will change after he experiences a car accident. The story follows Uroš Perić, a family man from Belgrade and the father of two children, who, driving a van on a business trip in Montenegro, participates in a car accident. In that traffic accident, not by his fault, the young girl Besijana perish. The matter becomes much more serious when Uroš, waking up in the hospital, finds out that the girl who died is the daughter of the biggest Balkan drug boss, Dardan Berisha. In order to save his family, Uroš was put to a test that examines the limits to which he is ready to go. On that road, apart from Dardan's shadow, which is constantly above him, Uroš is accompanied by Interpol inspector Petrit Koci, who, guided by his motives, wants to stand in the way of Dardan Berisha. In the tense plot, from episode to episode, we follow the main characters who struggle with their own choices in different ways. To what extent does the short moment, in which their paths intersect, change the course of life of each of them forever?
